Electrical Project Engineer
Job Description
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
- A master's degree or additional certifications in electrical power generation, transmission, distribution
and renewable energy would be advantageous.
- 7 to 10+ years of proven experience in project management and engineering within the power
transmission and distribution sector. Proven solar project experience is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of power transmission and distribution infrastructure systems.
- Experience in tendering for turnkey electrical transmission and distribution projects.
- Experience in managing turnkey electrical transmission and distribution projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools, such as MS Project, and experience with CAD software like
AutoCAD, advantageous.
- Ability to manage a team of junior engineers that are assigned to projects.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and a proactive
problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, work independently
and well in a team, and perform under pressure.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- A knowledge of French will be an advantage.
- Excellent time management and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Willing to travel internationally
