Duties & Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Design:xc3x82 Develop electrical and instrumentation designs aligned with project scope and business objectives.
• Regulatory Compliance:xc3x82 Ensure all designs adhere to applicablexc3x82 SANS Standards, international electrical codes, the MHS Act, and the OHS Act.
• Cost & Quality Management:xc3x82 Design cost-effective and high-quality electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Client Liaison:xc3x82 Engage with clients to understand design specifications and ensure project requirements are met.
• Documentation & Reporting:xc3x82 Preparexc3x82 scope of work, specifications, bill of quantities, and tender documents.
• Manufacturing & Implementation:xc3x82 Compile technical data packs for manufacturing and software engineering phases.
• Testing & Commissioning:xc3x82 Oversee testing of manufactured equipment and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Team Leadership:xc3x82 Guidexc3x82 draughts persons and junior engineersxc3x82 to ensure optimal resource utilisation and professional growth.
• Site Audits & Feasibility Studies:xc3x82 Conductxc3x82 on-site assessmentsxc3x82 to identify potential improvements and compliance with industry best practices.
• After-Service Support:xc3x82 Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for clients post-installation.

• Education:xc3x82 Degree/Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent NQF qualification.
• Experience:xc3x82 3 - 6 years of design and engineering experience, including exposure to relevant design software.
• Industry Exposure:xc3x82 Experience in mining industry designs, industrial plants, and process engineering.
• Standards & Regulations:xc3x82 Knowledge ofxc3x82 SANS Standards, international electrical and instrumentation standards, MHS Act, and OHS Act.

• Proficiency inxc3x82 PLC and SCADA systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Projects).
• Experience with design software such asxc3x82 Eplan, E-Tap, AutoCAD, Dessoft, or Intoolsxc3x82 (advantageous).
