Job Description

We are expanding our team and urgently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, implement, and commission energy and telecom projects across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Design MV/HV substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy systems (solar PV, BESS, microgrids) Perform load flow studies, short-circuit calculations, and protection coordination Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation Conduct site surveys, FAT/SAT testing, and project commissioning Ensure compliance with SANS, IEC, NRS 048, and NERSA regulations Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams on project delivery Mentor junior engineers and support B-BBEE skills development BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering (essential) ECSA registration (Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer) Minimum 4-8 years' experience in power systems or renewable energy projects Proficiency in ETAP, DigSILENT, AutoCAD, or PLS-CADD Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationwide Strong knowledge of REIPPPP, JETP, and smart grid technologies Excellent communication and report-writing skills ECSA registration (Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer) Minimum 4-8 years' experience in power systems or renewable energy projects Proficiency in ETAP, DigSILENT, AutoCAD, or PLS-CADD Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationwide Strong knowledge of REIPPPP, JETP, and smart grid technologies Excellent communication and report-writing skills
