Electrical Engineer - Alveo Water (Macassar, Cape Town)

Permanent Position | Start Date: 01/08/2025

Location: Macassar, Cape Town
Education: BEng/BSc Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
Experience: 2+ Years in a similar role

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for industrial applications Estimate and cost projects, equipment, and control panels Supervise panel manufacturing and quality checks Oversee electrical installations (e.g. cabling, pumps, trays) and repairs Support and monitor maintenance and inspection plans PLC programming and fault finding Develop detailed wiring diagrams and electrical drawings Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and client requirements Collaborate across disciplines to implement new systems and improvements Perform quality and performance testing, summarise data and report results Evaluate and specify new equipment and assist in budget planning

Minimum Requirements

Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering 2+ years' experience in a relevant electrical engineering role Strong knowledge of engineering codes, safety standards, and manufacturing processes Proficiency with electrical design and calculation software Experience with PLC programming and automation systems Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams
