Job Description

Our client located in Kempton Park, Johannesburg is currently looking for a driven and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering to take on a dynamic and varied role with exposure to both local and international project sites.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems, supporting a wide range of engineering projects from conception to commissioning.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and review detailed electrical designs, schematics, and system layouts
• Generate and maintain technical documentation including load lists, cable schedules, and transformer sizing
• Create and interpret procurement datasheets and specifications
• Design and route cable trays and racking systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety codes
• Collaborate with project teams on MCC and MV switchgear specifications and integration
• Provide engineering input during procurement and vendor selection processes
• Assist in project planning, coordination, and execution of turnkey EC&I projects
• Conduct site inspections, support commissioning, and participate in system testing
• Liaise with cross-functional teams including control, instrumentation, and mechanical departments
• Prepare and present technical reports and updates to management and clients
• Travel to project sites for installation supervision, testing, and commissioning when required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering roles
• Proficient with CAD design software
• Sound knowledge of MCCs and MV switchgear
• Experience with:

• Load lists and transformer sizing
• Cable schedules, racking, and routing
• Procurement datasheets and equipment specification

• E-Plan experience
• Project management exposure or certification
• Control system design
• PLC programming
• Turnkey EC&I project experience
• Electrical system testing and commissioning
• Familiarity with ETAP software

Remuneration:
