Our client, a reputable company based in Mount Edgecombe, Durban, is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for innovation and a commitment to safety, quality, and performance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical products and components, ensuring full compliance with industry standards such as NRCS, IEB, and CB.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical products, wiring layouts, and systems
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare accurate cost estimates for new projects
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with industry codes and safety regulations (e.g. NRCS, IEB, CB)
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and contractors throughout project lifecycles
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, specifications, and user manuals
• Test, commission, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems
• Provide diagnostic and technical support to maintenance and operation teams
• Stay informed on new technologies, materials, and trends in the electrical engineering space

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license [preferred or required depending on level]
• 2+ years of experience in electrical design, engineering, or a related field
• Proficient with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN) and stimulation tools
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes , standards, and safety, safety procedures
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills
