SUMMARY:
-POSITION INFO:Are you passionate about designing the next generation of vehicle electronics?Do you thrive on solving complex technical challenges in a dynamic, production-focused environment?We're seeking a highly skilled Electrical Component Engineer to join the Product Engineering Division of a globally recognized automotive manufacturer in Kariega.As a key player in the Body/Electrical/Trim/Styling Department, you will:Drive the release and validation of electrical components for high-volume vehicle production.Resolve complex design-related challenges across various local platforms.Coordinate testing activities and manage component/system releases locally and at source.Analyze and optimize component and system costs, including initiating cost-saving projects (PKOs).Manage new and modified components/projects, ensuring alignment with engineering and production standards.Maintain and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) system with accuracy and consistency.Support development processes with root cause analysis and implementation of preventative/corrective methods.Minimum Requirements:National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive component design and development for volume production.Strong grasp of engineering design principles and problem-solving methodologies.Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.Proficiency in MS Office and CAD tools.Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects, and lead cross-functional teams.Preferred:Proficiency in German is a plus.WHY JOINBe part of a globally respected engineering team innovating at the heart of automotive design.Gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and international collaboration.Enjoy an exceptional benefits package and relocation support.Work in a technically challenging environment that values continuous improvement and leadership in innovation.Location: Kariega (Relocation support available for candidates outside Port Elizabeth/Uitenhage)
Salary Range: R35 000 - R50 000 (Depending on experience)
