Are you a hands-on electrical professional with strong leadership and technical skills?
Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking an Electrical Charge Hand to coordinate and supervise electrical maintenance work, ensuring all production machinery and electrical systems are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys leading a team, solving complex maintenance challenges, and ensuring uninterrupted production operations.
Your Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities on site.
• Schedule, plan, and allocate daily maintenance tasks for electricians and support staff.
• Ensure that all maintenance work is performed safely, timeously, and within budget.
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, identifying potential issues before breakdowns occur.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, electrical codes, and legal regulations.
• Manage documentation, including PPMs, work orders, permits, and maintenance reports.
• Support production teams by ensuring machinery is fully operational when required.
• Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric certificate
• Electrical Trade Test qualification
• Wiremans licence
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance and supervision within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of electrical safety standards and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple maintenance tasks.
