Eduvos is looking looking to hire the services of an Independent Contractor, eLearning Designer on a part-time basis.
Location:
This is a national role, therefore, the contractor will be able to work from any one of our 12 national campuses.
Purpose of the role:
To create effective learning experiences and design instructional materials that align with educational goals through the application of instructional design principles and effective usage of multimedia material
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

• Relevant Honours degree in (e.g., Educational Technology/Instructional Technology/Educational Analytics, computer science, information technology).

Minimum Experience:

• At least three years' proven working experience in instructional design
• At least one years' proven working experience in educational technology or related field

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design digital templates - implement instructional design principles to enhance learning experiences
• Training of stakeholders on proposed teaching methodologies and technologies
• Produces digital learning resources and materials (e.g., storyboards, simulations, videos, embedded eLearning courses, assessment, and badges) to develop meaningful content and assessments
• Responsible for quality assurance (select content checks, functional and technical standards) on digital content produced
• Perform data analytics to produce insights for continuous improvement of learning experience and knowledge retention
• Recordkeeping and Reporting - maintains project documentation and course folders

Functional and Behavioural Competencies
Functional Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design methodologies
• Excellent knowledge in educational technology trends and emerging tools (external learning technologies, proctoring, AI etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency developing eLearning curriculum, storyboards, online tutorials, assessments, and training videos
• Basic understanding of course development software and experience using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360/Rise, Adobe Premier, or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) for hosting knowledge content, data collection and reporting purposes, preferably Moodle
• Experience working on a Game Development Engine (preferably Unity or Unreal)
• Experience working on UI / UX programmes (Figma, Adobe XR, Adobe Photoshop, Blender or other)
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text and audio/video scripts
• Ability to create instructional videos and software simulations
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Lesson and curriculum planning skills
• Research and development skills
