Job Summary We are currently seeking individuals for the roles of EI Maintenance Technologist and Maintenance Leader. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production processes. National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Process Instrumentation (T3/S4) Bachelor of Technology (advantageous) A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the instrumentation and electrical field within a production environment Strategic Manpower Coordination: Efficiently manage the workforce within the maintenance workshop, coordinating resources to meet maintenance demands. Collaborative Planning and Administration: Work closely with the plant engineering team to plan and administer manpower requirements, ensuring seamless integration of maintenance efforts. Engagement in Decision-Making: Participate actively in cross-functional meetings pertaining to engineering, production, and safety, contributing valuable insights from a maintenance perspective. Technical Expertise Sharing: Provide expert technical support to engineering and production teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared knowledge. Leadership and Supervision: Lead and direct technicians and artisans when necessary, guiding them to ensure effective execution of maintenance tasks. Competency Enhancement: Oversee the training and equipping of workshop personnel to align with plant requirements, promoting continuous improvement and skill development. Performance Evaluation and Discipline: Evaluate staff performance and uphold disciplinary standards in line with company policies, ensuring a motivated and accountable team. Safety and Compliance Focus: Maintain rigorous safety and housekeeping standards, adhering to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) requirements and regulatory standards like OSHACT and ISO 9002. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that maintenance activities adhere to engineering and safety standards, as well as legal regulations, guaranteeing the highest quality output. Emergency Responsiveness: Be on standby to address maintenance emergencies and urgent situations outside regular working hours, showcasing dedication to operational continuity. Project Leadership: Lead plant modification and upgrade projects, using your problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure successful project completion. DCS Enhancements: Oversee the implementation of upgrades and modifications on the Distributed Control System (DCS), an integral aspect of maintaining process control and efficiency.
