Job Description

FLENDER is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an EHS Intern. This 24-month internship offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or qualified individual in Health and Safety to gain practical, hands-on experience within a professional environment. The successful candidate will support the EHS professional in the implementation and administration of the organization's environmental, health, and safety programs.
Through mentorship and active participation in EHS initiatives, the intern will develop a strong foundation in regulatory compliance, risk management, and workplace safety practices. Over time, the intern will take on increasing responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the organization's safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day administrative support to the EHS department, including record-keeping, documentation, and reporting. Assist in conducting safety inspections, Risk assessments and/or Aspects & Impacts. Participate in employee safety training sessions and support the rollout of awareness campaigns. Communicates changes to the procedures and quality information by attending meetings. Help monitor compliance with EHS regulations and support the management of safety-related incidents. Create and present safety communications such as newsletters, posters, and notice boards. Shadow the EHS professional during incident investigations and compliance audits to gain practical insight. Contribute to basic safety initiatives and support the continuous improvement of EHS programs. Conduct contractors and/or visitors EHS Induction.
