Head of Department (HOD) Multimedia (JB3633)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Department for Multimedia. As the HOD, you will play a pivotal role in providing academic leadership to our department. Your responsibilities will encompass the coordination, review, and development of all programs within the department. You will leverage the expertise of departmental lecturers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, relevant curricula and exceptional student support. In addition to your academic responsibilities, you will oversee departmental operations and administration with the support of our dedicated academic administration team.

Educational Requirements:
Honours degree or higher in a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field of expertise or in a management role
Preferably, 3 years of experience in higher education
Proficiency in MS Office

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lecturing: Develop lesson plans that align with current course guides.
Curriculum: Lead the implementation and ongoing review of our multimedia programs.
Administration: Manage all academic administrative duties efficiently.
Student Consultation and Progress Tracking: Provide guidance and support to students while monitoring their progress.
Programme Coordination: Oversee all aspects of program operations, ensuring academic adherence and logistics coordination.
Staff Training and Evaluation: Foster the professional growth of departmental staff through training and performance evaluations.
Self-Development and Industry Research: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and continuously develop your own expertise.
