Job Purpose
The ability to teach in the fields of:


Construction Management Quantity Surveying Facility Management Construction Health & Safety

Contribute to academic initiatives undertaken by the department to enhance learning according to the needs of the industry and the department's teaching & learning goals.

Incorporate teaching & learning, research & innovation, and community engagement outcomes into the academic project.


Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum requirements:




Lecturer:




A Master's degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying. All base qualifications must be in Construction Management or Building or Quantity Surveying At least 2 years relevant teaching experience in higher education or 2 years industrial experience in the Built Environment. Registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions or the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession is recommended.

Lecturing on the ECP Diploma levels. Curriculum development, Academic development, Academic administration, Conducting research and postgraduate supervision, Participation in SACPCMP and SACQSP professional body accreditation, Participation in Quality Assurance activities, Participation in Industry Advisory Committees & partnerships, Personal & professional development. Assisting with Community engagement, WIL and service learning initiatives, Assisting with recruitment, admissions and marketing.
