Job Description


Role Purpose

The purpose of the eCommerce Marketing Coordinator role is to support the delivery and optimisation of e-commerce marketing and related business plans that align with business goals and objectives with the aim of achieving sales growth and targets. The role provides operational support for all eCommerce marketing activities, including planning and coordinating campaigns and events, performing market research, consolidating and reporting on campaign performance and sales data. The role offers the right candidate the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where a working knowledge of Shoprite as a business will be acquired along with a practical understanding of marketing in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be a detail orientated, proactive individual with the drive and energy to meet deadlines, deliver on priorities and demonstrate value to the team.

Role Description

  • Responsible for the effective planning and execution of all e-commerce marketing campaigns.
  • Brief creative and media agencies with clear objectives, requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure that campaigns are executed within established timelines, are continuously optimised based on performance and that results are fed back to key stakeholders timeously.
  • Responsible for post-campaign reporting and driving learnings into the business.
  • Conduct market and competitor analyses to identify key trends and insights in the e-commerce landscape.
  • Coordinate approval processes across key stakeholders within the eCommerce business.
  • Support creative and marketing teams with research, planning and any other marketing support in the conceptualisation of new campaigns.
  • Populate and schedule content into existing web templates and content calendars as required.
  • Form and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including internal marketing teams, marketing agencies, and other business stakeholders to ensure the Sixty60 brand is effectively represented across all channels.
  • Conduct marketing related research to support in the continuous analyses, refinement, and improvement of the eCommerce marketing approach.
  • Support the team with activities that enable the integration of eCommerce and digital transformation into the DNA of the business while promoting customer-first thinking.
Qualifications and experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business or equivalent xe2x80x93 (essential).
  • +3 years' experience working in a marketing coordinator or similar role within a marketing function with a well-developed understanding of marketing concepts as well as experience executing marketing campaigns - (essential).
  • Exposure to working with media and creative agencies xe2x80x93 (essential).
  • Experience in a retail eCommerce environment xe2x80x93 (desired).
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing xe2x80x93 (desired).
  • Exposure to marketing analytics tools - (desired).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 with intermediate level of Excel and PPT skills xe2x80x93 (essential).

  • Able to work under pressure and under tight time constraints, coordinating and executing multiple projects and campaigns in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
