RecruitPro Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading industrial automation and engineering solutions provider.
Overview
We are seeking a skilled EC&I (Electrical, Control and Instrumentation) Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate site activities for an automation and control systems project in Kathu. The successful candidate will ensure that all electrical and instrumentation installation work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with technical and quality requirements.
Applicants must either reside in Kathu or be willing to relocate for the duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all EC&I site activities in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work complies with safety standards, quality plans, and client requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and site personnel to ensure deadlines and productivity targets are met.
• Review method statements, installation procedures, and ensure compliance with project documentation.
• Conduct inspections and oversee testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Maintain accurate records, redline drawings, and progress reports.
• Liaise with engineers, quality, and safety teams to resolve technical or operational issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
• 6 years of experience in EC&I supervision within industrial automation, control systems, or plant environments (mining exposure advantageous).
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Proven experience with installation, termination, earthing, and testing of EC&I systems.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

Additional Requirements

• Valid EC1 driver's licence (Code 10)
• Medically fit for site work.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kathu, Northern Cape.
