The Role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Actively sell furniture products manufactured by the client. Be based in the factory showroom in Knysna to attend to "walk-in" customers but also be expected to build relationships with industry professionals in order to market the company and its products. Be on the road, actively looking for new customers and sales leads. Service existing clients as well as bring in new customers. The position requires the Employee to travel away from Knysna to secure sales.

Skills and Experience

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

The applicant must have at least 3 years' experience in sales. Sales experience in the furniture industry would be advantageous. The applicant must have good knowledge and experience in the following: Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel. Social Media Applications: Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Must have a driving license and have at least 5 years of driving experience. The applicant must be well presented. Have a good understanding of both the English and Afrikaans language and have an excellent telephone manner. Due to travelling away from Knysna the Employee must have the relevant home support network to be away for short periods of time. The applicant will be remunerated on a basic salary plus commission on sales. Sales targets will be set and reviewed on a regular basis.

The position on offer is a full-time position and is available immediately.



Good salary and commission structure offered, but a strictly 3-month probation period required.
