Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Duty Manager to support daily operations and ensure smooth service delivery across all guest-facing departments. Reporting to the Lodge Manager, the Duty Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards, managing the front of house and restaurant operations, and leading the team during shifts.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong operational knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve problems effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage front office and restaurant operations during shifts
Address guest queries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
Supervise and support staff to maintain excellent service standards
Oversee scheduling, task delegation, and team coordination
Conduct training and development sessions to enhance team skills
Monitor cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas
Ensure adherence to safety, security, and hygiene standards
Collaborate closely with other departments for seamless lodge operations
Prepare operational reports and communicate effectively with management
Salary:
R15,000 - R17,000 per month (live-in)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Duty Manager or similar front-of-house role in luxury hospitality
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and guest relations abilities
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) and operational software is advantageous
Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial
Live-in availability
Between 1 - 3 Years
