Duty Manager

Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day hotel operations during assigned shifts
  • Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling queries, requests, and complaints
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through excellent service delivery
  • Supervise and support staff across departments, providing guidance where needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities for quality and compliance
  • Step in to cover operational roles when service levels require support
  • Respond to emergencies and manage incidents such as medical, safety, or security situations
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Assist with daily revenue reconciliation, cash handling, and cost control
  • Monitor and report on occupancy, guest feedback, and operational challenges
  • Communicate effectively with department heads to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations
  • Provide detailed handovers and updates for incoming shifts and senior management
  • Make executive decisions in the absence of senior managers to maintain service standards
