Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Dry Goods Department, based at Springs.
The successful incumbent will report to the Dry Goods Manager.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
xc2xb7 Effective/ Efficient Management of dry goods stock
xc2xb7 Control and limit stock variances including waste
xc2xb7 Manage the Dry Goods store functions so that targets set are met and that operational methods are continually challenged and improved upon
xc2xb7 Effectively control the loading and offloading of contracted transport
xc2xb7 Ensure that the department is operating at acceptable safety/housekeeping standards
xc2xb7 Conduct departmental ICC's (Monthly)
xc2xb7 Operational involvement
xc2xb7 Ensure competent and motivated subordinates
xc2xb7 Attain subordinates' development plans
xc2xb7 Innovation and business improvements in support of operational goals
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
xc2xb7 ND: Logistics / Warehousing or equivalent qualification.
xc2xb7 3 - 5 years' experience in controlling/leadership functions of a warehouse environment
xc2xb7 Experience / background in a stores / warehousing environment
xc2xb7 Relevant experience in the management of subordinates/Strong leadership skills
xc2xb7 Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power Point (SAP will be advantageous).
xc2xb7 Dynamic and energetic individual
xc2xb7 Innovative, analytical and pro-active
xc2xb7 Must be able to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal customers.
xc2xb7 Knowledge and experience in administrative principles
xc2xb7 Knowledge of ISO and HACCP systems
