Drone Pilot Intern
Job Description
Assist the Drone Pilot with the planning, preparation, and execution of drone operations in accordance with approved flight plans and operational procedures
Monitor weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and environmental factors that may impact flight safety, and report any concerns to the Drone Pilot
Conduct thorough Pre-flight, in-flight (where applicable), and post-flight inspections of the drone, payload, batteries, sensors, and related equipment to ensure airworthiness and functionality.
Assist with basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance under supervision.
Ensure proper storage, safekeeping, and transportation of drone equipment and accessories.
Immediately report any technical malfunctions, safety hazards, incidents, or near-misses to the Drone Pilot and/or relevant supervisor
Assist in crowd control and perimeter management during operations where necessary
Grade 12 (Matric) and Remote Pilot licence. Any other Aviation qualifications will be advantageous.
Clear criminal Record
Drivers licence will be advantageous
Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email, report writing).
