To provide a reliable and courteous transportation service to participants, provide a communication link between participants and staff and operate and maintain assigned vehicles
Location:
Helen Joseph Hospital, Westdene, Johannesburg
Key performance areas:
Liaise with management for daily transport schedule
Transport patients safely to and from destinations
Transport staff for home visit purposes
Collect and deliver documents and/or goods safely
Assist with ad hoc administrative and maintenance duties as assigned by management
Complete general driving requirements for the site as and when required and authorised by management
Maintain study documentation according to monitoring requirements
Complete the vehicle logbook before and after each trip
Ensure that the vehicle is always clean and in a roadworthy condition
Monitor mileage intervals and advise the admin manager according to service intervals
Ensure company vehicles are parked in the main security area over the weekend and holiday periods
Ensure adherence to the vehicle policy, driver policy, and road law enforcement regulations
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrate effective self-management
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
Take ownership for driving own career development by participating in ongoing training and development activities such as forums, conferences, policy setting workshops, etc.
Required minimum education and training:
Matric/Grade 12
Valid South African Driver's License and Professional Drivers Permit (PDP)
Required minimum work experience and abilities:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Driver role
Ability to maintain accurate records
Knowledge of Gauteng areas
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Must be of sober habits
Be willing to work overtime
Be able to work independently
Punctual
Good time management skills
Professional and positive disposition
Good communication in English and other African languages (verbal and written)
Customer-orientated and tactful
Self-motivated with a high record for work ethic, values, and integrity
