Job Description
A leading manufacturing company located in Brackenfell, Cape Town is looking for a Driver to join their team!
Minimum education: Matric
Minimum experience: 2 - 3 years
Licenses and Permits required: Code 8 or 10 plus a Dangerous Goods Permit and PDP
Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited to the following:
- Safely operate the assigned vehicle, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Plan the most efficient and safe route to reach the destination, taking into account traffic conditions, weather, and road closures.
- Follow safety protocols, including wearing seat belts, using turn signals, and obeying speed limits.
- Maintain accurate records, such as mileage logs, delivery receipts, etc.
- Keep in communication with dispatch or supervisors to provide updates on the route, delays, or any issues that may arise.
- Secure and protect cargo to prevent damage during transportation, and ensure it is properly loaded and unloaded.
- Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different routes or schedules as needed.
