Company Driver: Tarlton, Gauteng
Purpose: The company driver is responsible for conveying materials, equipment, staff of the company and other persons, as instructed by the company.
Key Responsibilities:

• Transport products, materials, equipment, staff securely and other persons to or from various locations, as instructed, in a professional, efficient and timely manner.
• Perform other tasks like shopping and running various errands
• Guarantee that goods or persons being transported are protected and secured
• Load and unload the company's merchandise where required
• Answer client's inquiries accurately, courteously and in accordance with company policy
• Precisely administer all paperwork connected with the conveyancing goods and persons
• Keep all receipts where purchases are made (goods, tolls, etc.) and submit these to the accounts department
• Keep a travel log to record areas travelled to, travel time, and work hours
• Ensure that vehicles assigned are kept perfect and clean, inside and outside, at all times
• Carry out routine checks on vehicles assigned and ensure they are roadworthy and refuelled at all times
• Ensure that the required periodic maintenance on vehicles is kept up to date
• Immediately report any electrical and mechanical faults to the dispatcher and your manager or technician
• Report any instance of mishap or accident to the dispatcher and your manager or technician
• Report any accident, injury or damage of vehicles to the dispatcher and your manager or technician
• Dress professionally and in accordance with the company's dress code
• Adhering to all company policies and Regional and National traffic regulations and complying with inspections conducted by traffic law enforcement officers

Requirements

• A valid driver's licence, a code EB will be an advantage
• An accurate knowledge of all road regulations

• An excellent driving record

• Good health

• Ability to interact with people from different backgrounds and people at all levels

• A willingness to be available whenever required and to be flexible when required

• Must reside close to the Tarlton area or be willing and able to relocate
