Position Reports to Manager
Core Description
Responsible for driving a company vehicle and collecting goods from suppliers and dispatch them to the relevant BCX departments.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

Receive instruction from the Building Manager on the transportation requirements for the day, and collect vehicle keys
Complete the pre- and post-trip check to confirm the vehicle is in working order (i.e. check water, oil, tyre pressure and any vehicle damages)
Collect and deliver various documentation or goods from and to the appropriate destination/s
Utilise the fuel card in accordance with company policy to pay for fuel and tolls
Update logbook details indicating the starting time, opening odometer to the next destination, petrol logs and reason for travel
Obtain sign-off of the logbook by the required staff member/s
Inform line manager verbally or in writing when the vehicle is due for servicing at the appropriate kilometre measure intervals
Monitor oil levels, tire pressure, water levels and other technical requirements of the vehicle
Conduct minor repairs on the vehicle as and when required e.g. change tyres
Report on any incidents or accidents in accordance with company policy, and produce an accident report for submission line management

Minimum Qualifications
NQF 4: Grade 12 National Diploma
Additional Qualification preferred or advantage
Experience
1-2 years' driving experience

Special Requirements/ Employment Condition
Valid Drivers license
Ability to work extended /long hours as and when required
Required to travel locally
