Job Title: Driver - Light Duty
Location: CPT Parts - Hub
Department: Transportation
Reports To: Transportation Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our transportation team as a Light Duty Driver. The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting materials, equipment, and personnel to various locations within the designated area. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as well as the ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate light duty vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to various locations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient transportation
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to transportation activities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate transportation activities
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a light duty capacity
- Knowledge of local transportation routes and traffic laws
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions
