Job Description

A Pomona, Kempton Park Company is seeking a physically fit, technically minded Male South African Citizen to join our team. This is a non-AA/EE or EE/AA position aimed at individuals looking to build a long-term career in the industrial gear and transmission industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
Follow routes and time schedule.
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle.
Follow correct strapping and securing of loads.
Collect payments.
Complete logs, reports and follow company requirements to log petrol slips.
Follow road regulations and safety standards.
Inspect the products (Quality & Correct) before loading the delivery vehicle, the products need to correspond with the clients invoice.
Inspect the products (Quality & Correct) received from suppliers, the products need to correspond with the suppliers invoice received.
Make sure that vehicles and workstations used are clean and free of hazardous materials.
Clean equipment and complete health and safety checklists ask required.
Assemble product parts by hand when required.
Stick labels, company logos, and other exterior details to products.
Pack up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
Keep warehousing floor clean.
Unload, organize, and stock shipments.
Adhere to all safety guidelines dictation the production and handling of materials in the workshop.

Skills and Experience:

Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to operate forklifts and delivery vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions advantageous.
Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
Good driving record with no traffic violations.
Matric/ Grade 12 or equivalent.
Willing to work overtime a which will include weekends.

START : immediately

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: R7000,00 - R7500,00 per month
