Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to have a successful individual that will be responsible distributing stock from the JUMBO Distribution Centre / Main Warehouse to the required stores on a daily basis / as per the operational needs of the business. The successful individual will report directly to the Outbound / Logistics Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect the vehicle daily before beginning your route
• Ensure accurate packing and unpacking of vehicles in line with manifest
• Ensure packing and unpacking is done so in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure safety of stock and contents of boxes at all times
• To Adhere to all Traffic Rules, Regulations and Speed Limits at all times
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness at all times
• Avoid Eating / Drinking in company vehicles
• Do not transport any non-Jumbo staff in company vehicles at any time
• Maintain clear communication with Management
• Ensure copy documents are returned to Head Office at all times
• Avoid driving recklessly at all times to protect the Company vehicles
• Ensure employee / driver safety at all times
• Report any potential vehicle problems to Management immediately

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Physical stamina - ability to lift heavy items
• Teamwork - working closely with colleagues in the warehouse and at store level
• Punctuality - ability to stick to strict schedules
• Valid Code 10 Drives License
• Valid PDP (Public Drivers Permit)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• (You must be able to answer "YES" to all requirements listed below)
• Matric Certificate.
• PDP
• Valid Driver's License - Code 10 unendorsed + ability to drive a Code 10 vehicle
• 3-5 years minimum experience in the same role
