Commissioning and training on all products, locally and internationally
Providing training and technical support to customers, locally and internationally

Attending to breakdowns and stand-by emergency support
Performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new machines

Safety Compliance:
Achieve 100% adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring zero workplace accidents.
Form part of the daily toolbox talks, focusing on PPE, hazard identification, and safety practices.
Maintain 100% compliance with local and international safety laws (NEMA, Waste Act, Air Quality Act, etc.), conduct regular audits.
Ensure pool vehicles in use meet roadworthiness standards, performing pre-start inspections before use with 100% compliance.
Maintain a proactive approach to tool and equipment safety, conducting inspections and ensuring 100% operational safety of tools.
Report to management or take corrective actions within 24 hours of identifying unsafe conditions or equipment, with a 0% recurrence of the same issue.
Serve as Section 8.2 responsible person, ensuring 100% OHSA compliance within the workshop.
Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
Establish and enforce high-quality control standards, aiming to improve Fix Right First Time (FRFT).
Conduct quality inspections of all new and repaired equipment, ensuring 100% adherence to OEM standards.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring at least 90% of identified issues are resolved within the following month.
Ensure all workshop documentation is updated, with 100% accuracy and compliance.
Participate in regular audits, achieving a 95% or higher adherence to workshop processes.
Ensure you and fellow employees use PPE as required.
Liaise with customers to resolve high-level issues, achieving a customer satisfaction score of 90% or higher.
Propose implementation of improvements in service processes.
Customer Relations:
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints within 24 hours, maintaining a customer satisfaction rate of at least 90%.
Provide on-and-off-site, as required, technical support and aftersales service, achieving a 95% customer satisfaction rate for service responsiveness and quality.
Budget Management and Administrative Oversight:
Propose and implementation of cost-cutting measures.
Assist in tracking and reporting on inventory, ensuring that parts and tools are available.
Ensure 100% processing and closure of warranty claims, within the agreed-upon timeframe and relevant warranty policy or supplier policy.
Assist in compiling and submit to Senior Management monthly reports on workshop activities ensuring timely submission.
Complete all reports accurately and on time, with 100% adherence to submission deadlines.
Training and Development:
Complete recommended courses
Promote technical skill development across the team.
Hands-on Tasks:
Lead by example in hands-on tasks, reducing breakdown response time.
Ensure all PDIs and machine audits are completed within the scheduled timeframe, achieving a 100% accuracy and completion rate.
Standby
Participate in the standby team, ensuring telephonic availability, callouts and breakdowns/emergencies and planned overtime work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain up-to-date records of all customer or sites visits, services, audits, training, and all relevant ad required reports
Promote safety by always adhering to Health and Safety regulations and environmental procedures
Mentor and supervise junior technical team members when necessary
Liaise regularly with operators and line management to ensure equipment readiness
Suggest and implement efficiency improvements to procedures and maintenance and production practices

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Technical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Proven ability to read assembly and schematic drawings
Must be experienced and able to work on 1 000 Volt systems
Strong Microsoft Office skills and adaptability to internal ERP systems
Analytical thinking, excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills
Strong planning and organizing abilities
Self-motivated, proactive, ability to train, mentor, and guide others effectively
Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, prioritize tasks effectively and change priorities and in high-pressure environments
Willingness to travel for long periods, locally and internationally as required
Must hold a valid Code 8 (or higher) drivers license
Ability to work on a standby / call-out basis
Tradesman preferences Millwright / Electrical

Complete proposed mandatory iComply training courses within 12 months.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Trade tested Electrician or Millwright (or equivalent in Metal/Industrial Engineering)
Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant technical experience in a similar role
Experience in mining or construction equipment (trackless mining equipment knowledge is advantageous)
Completed relevant health and safety training and ISO standards beneficial
Technical training background in hydraulics, electrics, and mechanics
Grade 12 (Matric)
Valid Code 8 (EB) Drivers License
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Working Conditions:
Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and public holiday work
Travel and sleep-outs required depending on project needs
Visits to customer sites including underground work environments as needed
