RPO Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our client's engineering team in Springs, Gauteng. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically proficient professional to work on cutting-edge ventilation system designs in a fast-paced, model-driven environment. Responsibilities

• Create precise and efficient General Arrangement (GA) drawings for tender purposes, with a focus on above-ground fan ventilation systems
• Conduct on-site measurements both above and underground to ensure drawing accuracy
• Develop draughting content based solely on 3D modelling (approximately 95% model-driven work)
• Ensure all drawings are dimensionally accurate without manual dimensions or notes
• Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to meet tight deadlines
• Maintain organized documentation and version control of all drawings and models
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain professional conduct during site visits

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in draughting and 3D modelling
• Red Seal certification and at least 5 years of working experience as a Red Seal artisan (non-negotiable)
• Proficient in SolidWorks (no other CAD platforms considered)
• Own transport and willingness to travel for site measurements
• Strong understanding of mechanical components and industrial ventilation systems
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and under pressure
• Draughting qualifications are not essential - practical experience is key
• Residing in or near Irene / Pretoria / Centurion is advantageous
