About the Role:

We are seeking a

Draughtsman

to join a well-established Engineering business based in Silverton Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate drawings, assisting with project execution, and ensuring designs are converted into production-ready files. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong SolidWorks skills and knowledge of sheet metal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret client drawings and specifications accurately. Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for sheet metal manufacturing. Convert drawings into SolidWorks package and prepare cutting files for production. Collaborate with project teams on design requirements and quality checks. Follow-up on completed drawings and ensure accuracy of final products. Compile data packages and maintain technical documentation. Use measuring tools to verify components and identify materials. Support management with ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Draughting or Mechanical/Design field. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks). Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes (laser cutting, bending, forming, machining). Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
