Draughtsman

Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa

Well established manufacturing concern is seeking a Draughtsman to perform the following:
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development

Design and develop mechanical and/or electrical systems for solvent recycling and recovery solutions.
Use AutoCAD Inventor / CAD software to create detailed 2D/3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes.
Evaluate designs for functionality, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.

Project Management

Lead design projects from concept to final production while adhering to timelines and budgets.
Maintain clear documentation for all design processes and modifications.
Report progress and challenges to stakeholders regularly.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in sustainable design and environmental engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
Proven experience in a design engineering role, preferably in the environmental or manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost management.
Familiarity with sustainability principles and eco-design practices is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
