Draughtsman (mechanical/cad)

Job Description
Our client, a leading engineering and technology firm, is seeking a skilled Draughtsman to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and models using CAD software, ensuring designs meet safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements: -
- Matric (Diploma in Engineering highly advantageous)
- 4-5 years of experience in a mechanical drafting environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Working knowledge of Fluid Power systems (advantageous)
- Valid driver's license
- Competency in Microsoft Office
- Produce 2D and 3D technical drawings, sketches, and blueprints for mechanical systems and structures
- Maintain and update a library of standard drawings and design templates
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop conceptual and working drawings
- Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations and company standards
- Stay updated on the latest CAD technologies and industry trends
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required by management
