Job Summary DRAMA THERAPY TEACHER POSITION Drama therapy teacher for students Use theater arts for healing and emotional growth Create safe space for self-expression through performance Build confidence and social skills through creative arts WHAT YOU'LL TEACH Improvisation and role-playing Storytelling and creative dramatics Movement and voice work Emotional expression through character Theater games for trust-building Puppetry and mask work Ensemble performance skills RESPONSIBILITIES Design and lead drama therapy sessions Facilitate individual and group work Address anxiety, trauma, and social challenges through drama Track student progress and growth Collaborate with counselors and mental health professionals Communicate with parents about student development Create safe showcase and performance opportunities Maintain professional documentation REQUIREMENTS Drama therapy certification or degree required Expressive arts therapy or counseling background Experience with children/adolescents Knowledge of trauma-informed practices Understanding of child development Strong improvisation and facilitation skills Cultural sensitivity and inclusivity Patient, empathetic, and playful personality Police check for working with children First aid and CPR certification IDEAL CANDIDATE Passionate about healing through creative expression Comfortable with emotional vulnerability Can create psychologically safe environments Recognizes when to refer to other professionals Models' authenticity
