: The Domestic Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and taking care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties, the role reports to the Cleaning Supervisor. Your overall job responsibility will include amongst others sweeping, washing, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and sanitizing all areas and surfaces. Task and Responsibilities: xe2x80xa2 To attend to the morning Safety Toolbox, Talk and participate in the Safety discussions xe2x80xa2 To participate in the Safety discussions. xe2x80xa2 Start with the Ablution Facilities in their designated area. xe2x80xa2 Fill all the toilet roll holders with toilet paper. xe2x80xa2 Replace the hand towel roll. xe2x80xa2 Refill the toilet dispensers with hand soap. xe2x80xa2 Refill the seat wipe dispensers. xe2x80xa2 Wash the hand basins. xe2x80xa2 Ensure that the mirrors are clean. xe2x80xa2 Report the state of the she-bins to the supervisor. xe2x80xa2 Brush the toilets and clean the seats. xe2x80xa2 Wash the shower and the shower doors. xe2x80xa2 Spray all the taps, door handles, toilet seats, flushing handle and showers with an anti-bacterial disinfectant. xe2x80xa2 Sweep the Ablution Facility. xe2x80xa2 Wash and mop the toilet and shower floors. xe2x80xa2 Empty the dust bins. xe2x80xa2 Clean the kitchen/canteen xe2x80x93 U17 xe2x80xa2 Clean the fridge and the microwave oven. xe2x80xa2 Clean the basin and the counter tops. xe2x80xa2 Clean the kettle and fill it with clean water. xe2x80xa2 Wipe down the tables and the benches xe2x80x93 U17 xe2x80xa2 Empty all the dust bins. xe2x80xa2 Remove the dust off the walls with a feather duster. xe2x80xa2 Spray the taps, fridge handles, microwave handle, door handles, counter tops, and the tables/benches with an anti-bacterial disinfectant. xe2x80xa2 Clen the offices and the control room, for this purpose he/she must ask permission to clean the office. xe2x80xa2 Use furniture polish for the tables and filing cabinets. xe2x80xa2 Clean the windows. xe2x80xa2 Remove the dust from the walls and files. xe2x80xa2 Spray the filing cabinet handles, door handles, chair armrests with an anti-bacterial disinfectant. xe2x80xa2 wash and mop the floors. xe2x80xa2 To perform duties in other units if requested to do so. xe2x80xa2 Work overtime if requested by the client. xe2x80xa2 Ability to decant and mix the different cleaning agents. xe2x80xa2 Understanding of the MSDSxe2x80x99s. xe2x80xa2 To complete BBS observations on time. xe2x80xa2 Comply with timekeeping. xe2x80xa2 Report any deviations to the supervisor. xe2x80xa2 Comply with the safety standards and KUExe2x80x99s as set out by the client. xe2x80xa2 Ability to read and write in English. Minimum Requirements xe2x80xa2 Grade 10/12 xe2x80xa2 Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently for following instructions. xe2x80xa2 Experience of working with basic hand and power tools will be an advantage. xe2x80xa2 Medical fitness certificate Key Skills Required xe2x80xa2 Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. xe2x80xa2 Able to manage time effectively. xe2x80xa2 Ability to work both alone and in a team. xe2x80xa2 Awareness of health and safety procedures.
