Duties & Responsibilities
To implement and maintain Hygiene and Pest Control policies procedures, keep abreast of changes in other company policies procedures ensure that you as well as your subordinates are totally conversant with, implement them.
This portfolio includes the management of the Inland business portfolio, therefore travelling to the region will be a requirement.
Assist support divisional initiatives objectives as set out from time to time by the Division as a whole or support function such as Quality, Procurement, Training or HR Finance
Ensure that each contract is operating to the agreed hygiene and pest control budgetary standards. This will include ensuring that budgeted margins are achieved, labour is managed within budget, equipment is well maintained controlled, hygiene and pest control consumable purchases are monitored all other expenses are managed
Provide effective leadership and take full responsibility and management of all units under this portfolio.
Relationship building with the client and customers on a daily basis (essential).
Comply with the divisions budgetary requirements within the financial guidelines and ensure financial stability of the Division.
Understand and maintain all financial aspects of the business - budgeting, forecasting.
Understand and implement company standards, policies and procedures in line with legislation.
Ensure that Ops team is developing.
May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility.
Skills and Competencies
Attention to detail, with the ability to multi - task
Client service orientated
Able to handle large multi-sites
Sound business acumen and excellent problem solving skills
Experience in the Hygiene and Pest control industry essential
Operational Standards: Performance management, financial analysis, computer proficiency and human resources.
Entrepreneurial skills: Strategic management, outcome focus and productivity.
Interpersonal Skills: Client/customer interface, managing group process, communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years operational management experience in similar role.
Minimum Matric.
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of legislation relevant to the Hygiene and Pest Control industry.
