Minimum Requirements
BCom Accounting Degree (Hons)
CA/CIMA
At least 7 years related experience
Experience managing a team/department
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft: Excell, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Planning
Compile yearly budget
Ensure compliance with budgeted figures through operating cost containment, maximizing profit margins and weekly financial forecasts
Weekly cash flow projections
Business planning and decision-making
Strategic analysis and long-term business plans
Ensure compliance with company KPI's
Financial Reporting
Timeous and correct financial reporting in accordance with general accepted accounting principles (e.g. management accounts and presentation thereof, liaison with external auditors and produce correct financial accounts within the GAAP framework, monthly EXCO packs and reports, board & investors presentations).
Develop and manage financial models / systems
ABC costing and segment / cost centre financial reporting
Asset Control
Inventory control (Minimize stock losses through internal control and procedures, minimize stock days in order to ensure positive cash flow)
Debtors control (Ensure maximum recovery of outstanding debts, Debtor's days (external)
Credit control (Ensure acceptable creditors days, correct and timeous payment, fixed asset control, correct fixed asset register / movement
Return on investment
Risk Management
Profitability and cost control ensuring optimal profitability.
Risk management in order to identify, assess and prioritize risks to the company
Minimize, control and monitor risks
Ensure sufficient insurance is in place to address all risks
Staff Management
Ensure efficient staffing levels to sustain efficiency within the department
Lead and interact with personnel in order to achieve highest efficiency
Strategic Decision Making
Participation and contribution in operational / EXCO meetings together with management
Support and advise management team in achieving strategic goals / projects
Interact and contribute to operational meetings with specific goals to achieve maximum efficiency, control and profitability
Presentation and managerial inputs at EXCO meetings
Internal Control and Procedures
Management of internal controls and procedures to ensure effective control over company assets and funds.
