With a global presence and a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Divisional Accountant to join this finance team.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting designation is preferred
- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a logistics or related industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for the division
- Collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets
- Monitor budget performance and provide insights to management
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving initiatives
- Monitor and report on cost variances
- Work closely with operational teams to optimize resource utilization
- Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Review contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue-recognition methods
