Job Description


To provide a total management function-strategic, technical, administrative and implementation for
Parks, Leisure and Cemeteries facilities and services in the Division.
Key Responsibility Areas

  • Undertakes the formulation of strategic direction in the form of short, medium and long
term goals for the Division.
  • Initiates, plans, sources budget and manages special projects.
  • Consults and negotiates with relevant stakeholders with regards to site and facility planning,
zoning, acquisition as well as the budgetary aspects for the implementation of projects.
  • Manages personnel and the activities carried out by the Division.
  • Manages Aquatic Safety, Cemeteries, Halls, Law Enforcement and Horticulture.
  • Undertakes the daily management of the operational functions, administration and control
of the Division.

Essential Requirements
  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Horticulture or Landscape Technology or Turf Management.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • 6 years relevant experience in the green industry of which 2 years must be at a management
level.
Preferred Requirements
  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Horticulture or Landscape Technology or Turf Management.
  • 7 years relevant experience in the green industry of which 3 years must be at a management
level.
