Job Description

As a Distribution Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across the supply chain. You will support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of distribution activities, while assisting with expediting services, handling operational events, and managing ad hoc requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in logistics and distribution planning within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating and executing distribution plans to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, warehousing, and transportation teams to align supply with demand.
Support efforts to optimize distribution routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Expedite urgent orders and deliveries to minimize delays. Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve delivery issues, shortages, or damages.
Assist in managing disruptions, delays, and unforeseen events affecting distribution activities. Support the development of contingency plans and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Plan and manage unplanned or urgent trips and orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Maintain accurate records of distribution activities, prepare reports on KPIs (delivery accuracy, transport costs, inventory turnover), and support data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
Requirements:
Understanding of distribution planning, logistics, and expediting processes.
Exposure to data analysis and reporting.
Proficiency with transportation management systems (advantageous).
