Clover is seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Distribution Manager to manage the warehouse and distribution functions at the George Distribution Centre/Satellite
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma Experience in working with senior management Business English: Fluent Travel off-site/overnight stay Computer literacy (Advanced)
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the warehouse, distribution and administrative processes
Optimise warehouse capacity utilisation Optimise delivery processes Improve warehouse efficiencies Ensure critical controls are in place Ensure that standard operating procedures are applied correctly Control key aspects and take corrective action where necessary Drive continuous improvement principles
Manage fixed and variable cost
Compile budget and report deviations Plan for resource demands Do peak planning
Manage loss control and SHE aspects
Ensure systems are in place to execute functions relating to maintenance, safety and security etc. Manage stock breakages and losses
Manage staff
Ensure optimal utilisation of staff Apply consistent discipline Train and develop staff Conduct warehouse meetings and ensure effective communication to all Liaise and communicate with management in all departments * Set objectives, manage and measure performance of subordinates
