Our client is South Africa's leading multi-media trade and technical magazine publishers and exhibition organisers focused on the Mining, Plumbing, HEVCAR and Construction industries and they are looking for a Distribution and Website Administrator to join their team as soon as possible.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Production and co-ordination and administration of all publications
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Distribution:

• Take full responsibility for the distribution of publications or any other material requiring distribution from the company
• Keep record of mailing list distribution for all publications including readers that have been removed from mailing list.
• Keep record of merchants (local & National) distribution for all publications.
• Keep track and record of distribution including mailing house, post office, courier and international mailing house. (BDNs and waybills)
• Update person/s concerned on a monthly basis with mailing & merchant distribution figures (Members, Subscriptions(sales), CFD, local & delivery surgeon, APU & International)
• Maintaining and updating of official body lists included in our mailing lists.
• Responsible for the collation of accurate data for the ABC audit of publications
• Responsible for the collation input and filing of all registered readers.
• Drive the registration process of all readers
• Ensure that all distribution takes place timeously in the most cost effective manner
• Administration & filing related to distribution
• Updating mailing lists once returned mailed has been qualified
• Report on updated mailing figures at production meetings.
• Maintain distribution deadlines
• Liaise and administer distribution suppliers
• Liaise with mailing supplier concerning mailing lists and payments to suppliers for bulk mailing.
• Researching/sourcing of new readers for all publications

Data Capturing:

• Accurately record data.
• Accurate reporting of data.
• Upkeep of PTMG data base.
• Update of PTMG Directory data.
• Update of PTMG distribution lists.
• Administration of online directory update and synchronization of databases.
• Administration of all updates and filing.

Website and Industry Community Forum Administrator:

• Upload necessary articles and graphics onto PTMG website
• Keep all information up to date on PTMG website.
• Administration of the following website modules
• industry forums and blogs.
• industry classified adverts.
• online registered readers.
• online subscriptions and payments.
• online adverts.
• Online newsletters.
• Online calendar.
• Online survey and polls.
• Online directories.
• Website user login administration.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric
• Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly advantageous

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Min 2 - 3 years experience in a similar position
• Media / Publishing / Marketing industry knowledge will be advantageous
