Dispensary Supervisor



This position reports into Production Lead and is based in South Africa.

What you will do

Responsible together with Warehouse Pharmacist for the efficient organization, planning, control and co -ordination of the production function in the Raw Material Department.

Involved in all processing, dispensing and raw material warehousing operations.

Ensures that all operations are performed in accordance with Standard operating procedures, Safe Work Procedures, Safety, Health and Environmental requirements (corporate and local) and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

Manage the Dispensary / raw material store to ensure effective utilization of labour or fulfill the requirements of the Production plan.

Performs regular stock counts as per SOX guidelines

Key Responsibilities

Check all dispensing operations of all raw materials paying particular attention to item codes, lot numbers, descriptions, quantities and expiry dates for raw materials and dispensing orders.

Maintains a high Standard of GMP in the Raw material Store, including accurate inventory records, first- in- first -out principles/ first- expired-first out principles and stock rotation.

Ensures that Physical stock accurately balances with Electronic system.

Process all documentation .

Notifies Pharmacist /Manager of all stock discrepancies prior to requesting stock adjustments.

Assist Warehouse Pharmacist in the generation and compilation of monthly reports.

Generates and reviews relevant productivity and stock keeping reports used for management of the Warehouse.

Ensures that all required inspections and checklist are accurately completed.

Ensures that all mass meter verifications are completed daily.

Performs all relevant documentation checks to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Ensures accurate completion of documentation.

Updating and training of all SOP's.

Ensures correct storage of all raw materials and weighed raw materials.

Participate in all Audits internal and external and action all findings.

Ensure all practices and procedures are SOX compliant.
Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in Dispensary operations. Team management experience is mandatory for the role. Demonstrated ability to guide and coach the team members and proven ability to manage 10-15 team members. Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience within a pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a supervisory position. Mandatory degree in Matric with Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification and registered with Pharmacy Council Diploma in Store Manship /qualification in supply Chain is nice to have.

Desired Qualifications:

Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office

Requires a high level of accuracy.

Requires excellent communication skills.

Efficiency under pressure.
