Trans Hex is seeking a highly organized and proactive

Dispatch Controller

to join our logistics and supply chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate planning, control, and coordination of all dispatch activities from the land-based warehouse to offshore mining vessels and operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and control the dispatch of goods, ensuring detailed and accurate packing lists, load lists, and shipment records.

Ensure all logistics bins, crates, and containers are properly labelled and recorded with corresponding requisition and purchase order numbers.

Accurately record the loading and movement of goods, ensuring all Internal Branch Transfers (IBTs) are correctly processed.

Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and suppliers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.

Maintain compliance with all customs and transport regulations in South Africa and Namibia.

Generate and maintain dispatch documentation -- including manifests, invoices, and IBTs -- using Pastel and Microsoft Office software.

Maintain dispatch logs, shipment registers, and manifest trackers in line with internal control procedures.

Respond promptly to customs and operational queries to prevent dispatch delays.

Liaise effectively with internal departments, offshore operations, and logistics teams to align dispatch priorities.

Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards during all dispatch operations.

Drive continuous improvement in dispatch accuracy, documentation quality, and process efficiency.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics Management, or a related field (mandatory).

3-5 years' relevant experience in dispatch or logistics control, preferably within the offshore, mining, or maritime industry.

Strong knowledge of customs procedures, import/export documentation, and international shipping requirements.

Proficiency in Pastel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.

High attention to detail, accountability, and reliability.

Ability to perform under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
