Develop, implement, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for critical systems and applications.
Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify potential points of failure.
Define and test recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) aligned with business needs.
Coordinate DR drills and simulations, document outcomes, and lead improvement initiatives.
Manage backup and recovery infrastructure, ensuring adherence to data protection and retention policies.
Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and application teams to ensure systems are recoverable.
Prepare post-incident reports and lead root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, ITIL, COBIT).
Maintain detailed documentation of recovery procedures and architecture.
Support cloud and hybrid recovery strategies, leveraging technologies such as Azure Site Recovery, AWS Backup, or VMware SRM
.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or IT infrastructure management.
Strong understanding of data backup technologies, virtualization, and cloud recovery solutions.
Hands-on experience with DR automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
Knowledge of cyber resilience practices and incident response processes.
Certification(s) preferred:
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
ITIL Foundation
ISO 22301 Lead Implementer
CompTIA Security+ / CISSP (advantageous)
