Job Summary: The Director of Sport is responsible for the strategic leadership and overall management of the schools sports program. This role involves promoting excellence in both competitive and recreational sports, ensuring student participation, and aligning sports initiatives with the school's educational values. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the school's sports program. Lead and mentor coaches, trainers, and sports staff across all disciplines. Oversee the planning and delivery of training, fixtures, tournaments, and tours. Foster a culture of inclusion, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students. Ensure the effective use and maintenance of sports facilities and equipment. Manage sports department budgets, sponsorships, and external partnerships. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and governing body regulations. Promote student well-being and academic balance alongside athletic commitments
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in sports leadership or management, ideally within an educational environment. Proven ability to lead multi-sport programs and large teams. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Understanding of adolescent development and educational sport philosophy. Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in education, Qualification in coaching, or sports leadership. Experience in high-performance or elite youth sports programs.
