Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job



To grow, retain, and maintain customer accounts optimally and profitably by cross-selling and up-selling products, while delivering a low-effort customer experience as defined by the business.

Key Objectives



Drive Sales Growth:



Identify new business opportunities, grow local accounts, and explore joint marketing initiatives to increase sales volume within the region.

Build Broker & Depot Relationships:



Develop and maintain strong relationships with the local broker network and depots that support national deals, with a key focus on enhancing sales and providing a seamless customer experience.

Service & Deal Implementation:



Ensure the smooth delivery, implementation, and management of deals in alignment with customer expectations.

Pricing Accuracy & Audits:



Ensure all customer pricing is current, accurate, and aligned with business strategy through regular audits.

Market Intelligence Sharing:



Communicate relevant market trends and potential national deal leads to the managers responsible for the insurance and fleet channels.

Brand Visibility & Marketing Support:



Maximise PG Glass visibility by equipping local customers with marketing materials and participating in customer and industry events.

Account Management & Growth:



Assist customers with account queries, manage overdue accounts, and grow existing accounts through strategic cross- and up-selling.

Local Deal Communication & Auditing:



Ensure all local deals are communicated to the relevant Fitment Centres and maintain deal files for accurate pricing audits.

Recordkeeping & Compliance:



Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of deals to ensure continuity and consistent customer delivery.

Critical Job Requirements



Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric)

Valid Driver's Licence and Own Vehicle

Knowledge



Strong negotiation techniques

Verbal and written communication skills

Conflict resolution strategies

Effective time management

Skills



Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Strong numerical and analytical ability

Effective presentation and communication skills

Planning and organisational proficiency

Computer literacy (MS Office and CRM systems)

Cold calling and direct selling (face-to-face)

Persuasive selling techniques

Experience



Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a focus on cold calling

Background in FMCG or Retail sectors

Broker/insurance industry experience is essential
