Job Description


The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for:

  • Assisting brand teams to develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies tailored to each brand's objectives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing teams to provide strategic guidance on digital initiatives, campaigns, and online presence optimization.
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, and integrate relevant innovations into brand strategies
  • Optimise SEO and SEM initiatives to increase brand visibility and drive organic and paid traffic.
  • Oversee social media strategies, influencer partnerships, and community engagement to enhance brand loyalty and customer relationships
  • Champion data-driven decision-making by utilizing analytics tools to measure and improve campaign performance, conversion rates, and user experience. Conduct regular audits and generate insightful reports to monitor the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts.
  • Monitor and evaluate all Digital Agencies, ensuring that Brands are deriving maximum value and digital expertise from their agency partnerships. Oversee new digital agency appointments and approve any agency contracts and fees to ensure strategic alignment, cost-effectiveness, and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Ensure optimization of budgets for digital marketing activities across brands, optimizing resource allocation, digital media and production costs for maximum impact.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to brand marketing teams to enhance their digital marketing capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, encouraging innovative ideas and creative problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Executives in presenting digital marketing strategies, performance reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Optimising digital platforms to maximise the collection of consumer and transactional data
  • Working with Brand Marketing teams to develop and execute effective Direct Marketing/ CRM/Loyalty Programme strategies and plans to drive customer acquisition, improve retention and customer loyalty
  • Developing sustainable business models for rewards and incentive programs with potential 3rd party partners
  • Securing, commercialising and managing 3rd party reward programme partnerships

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations succinctly and effectively, communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences

Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification required. Preferably Marketing, Commerce and/or Information Systems related.
  • Relevant certifications in digital marketing (e.g., Google Ads, HubSpot, SEMrush) are highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving digital marketing initiatives in a multi-brand environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media strategies, and digital advertising.
  • Proficiency in utilizing web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to extract insights and inform strategies.
  • Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation/direct marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Strong background in customer acquisition and retention strategies.
