Our client who has been established in South Africa and investing on behalf of clients and has grown to become one of the most successful investment management companies, is looking to recruit a premier resource. This company is an investment management firm focussed on building long-term wealth for their clients. The company's primary goal is to achieve long term wealth creation for its clients.

We would like to have an employment equity candidate for this role to promote diversity and inclusion in the team. In addition, you have an understanding of financial services rather than banking. There is a significant amount of work on the website, micro sites etc. It is quite a technical role. They are not a social media company - and its not a huge focus, while still important. You must love working with brand and the teams that manage this. They are working on a new campaign , which will feed into the digital area, too. It is a great managerial opportunity - but you must have managed people prior.

They now seek a digital marketing manager to join their team. You will report to the head of marketing (group level). This is a great team who enjoy the work they do; are valued for it and have a great manager!

JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be required to provide digital marketing expertise by leading the digital marketing efforts of the company and the group- operating entities outside of CT and SA;
  • Digital marketing:
  • You will be required to develop a digital marketing strategy to fit into the overall marketing and brand strategy;
  • You will be required to initiate and manage digital marketing campaigns, budgets and reports;
  • You will be required to provide thought leadership relating to digital marketing and digital / online platforms, including mainstream social media platforms;
  • You will be required to manage all digital marketing channels, including:
  • Corporate website;
  • Paid and organic search;
  • Email marketing campaigns;
  • Social media platforms and accounts;
  • You will be required to together with third-party agencies, maintain effective SEO and PPC strategies and compile web analytics reports as and when required;
  • You will be required to maintain a monthly dashboard of website traffic KPIs across various audiences;
  • You will be required to ensure and maintain adequate brand presence across online channels;
  • You will be required to work closely with the brand, advertising and distribution teams to execute digital and website-related projects;
  • You will be required to optimise user journeys across the website;
  • You will be required to manage relevant third-party agency relationships;
  • Technical requirements:
  • You will be required to stay up to date with digital technology developments;
  • You will be required to oversee technical aspects of the website;
  • You will be required to manage all website tracking tools and ensure adequate tracking on the website;
  • You will be required to work with UI designers to ensure correct corporate identity application across all web projects;
  • You will be required to manage all software licences and updates;
  • You will be required to work closely with the IT architecture team to ensure that the public site is technically and structurally sound;
  • Legislative requirements:
  • You will be required to translate legislative requirements into implementable website projects;
  • You will be required to manage all website-related legislative requirements;
  • Team management:
  • You will be required to manage a team of four individuals by providing clear, timely and constructive feedback and ongoing coaching to direct reports;
  • You will be responsible for performance management of the team in line with business processes and expectations.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You have a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, Digital Media, etc and sound academic results; additional qualifications including CFP;
  • You have a minimum of 8 years' current, relevant experience in digital marketing in a corporate environment and ideally in financial services - but agency experience with FS clients would be helpful;
  • You have a strong and skilled working knowledge of and proven track record of working with website and marketing analytics tools, i.e. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.;
  • You have expert knowledge of mainstream social media channels, with a proven track record of successful campaigns;
  • You have experience in setting up and optimising PPC campaigns;
  • You have experience in optimising landing pages and A/B testing.
You are highly professional. You understand this space, well. You can add value from day one. You want to work in FS based on prior experience in this area or working with FS clients.
