The newsletter distills the most important financial news and market insights into a quick, five-minute morning read. Its written in a direct, accessible style to serve both new and seasoned investors.
The business relies on email as its core product, distributing to a large and growing subscriber base. Most growth is driven through paid media and strategic lead partnerships, with an emphasis on performance marketing, acquisition funnel optimization, and fast testing cycles. The internal team is lean, results-oriented, and focused on experimentation and iteration to drive subscriber growth and engagement. Role Summary:
Were looking for a Digital Marketing & Lead Generation Specialist to take ownership of our paid marketing efforts and drive top-of-funnel subscriber growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys testing, learning, and optimizingxe2x80x94especially in direct response environments.
Youll be responsible for generating qualified leads, improving sign-up flows, and refining our acquisition strategy across key channels like Google and Meta. You should bring an analytical mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to make fast, informed decisions based on performance data.
Our goal is to identify and convert high-intent leads quicklyxe2x80x94ideally within 3060 daysxe2x80x94and this role will be central to testing which offers, audiences, and acquisition channels deliver those results.
Note: The main role of the job is buying leads and then monetizing them and seeing which sources monetize the best.
Note: Experience with beehiiv or a similar ESP (Email Service Provider) is required.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, launch, and manage digital marketing campaigns across Meta and Google Ads (agency support currently in place but may be replaced).
  • Lead the performance strategy across paid platforms, optimizing spend and creative based on real-time results.
  • Develop and test acquisition funnels and lead magnets to identify high-converting offers.
  • Manage direct email lead buys through financial publisher networks (e.g., AfterOffers, Karmaholic Media, SparkLoop).
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, uncovering trends and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Improve the onboarding and sign-up flow to increase conversion rates.
  • Own the lead gen roadmapxe2x80x94define hypotheses, design experiments, and scale what works.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align messaging and audience targeting with growth goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 25 years of experience in digital performance marketing, lead generation, or paid media.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to run structured tests and optimize based on data.
  • Comfortable managing budgets, allocating spend, and reporting on ROI.
  • Experience working in newsletter, publishing, or subscription-based business models is a plus.
  • Experience with financial audiences or lead networks is also a plus but not required.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and results-driven.
  • Comfortable working remotely with flexibility in LATAM or South Africa time zones.
  • Experience with beehiiv or similar ESPs is a plus.
