Ortholam currently has an opening for a Digital Marketing, Commercial Development & Sales Representative based in Hillcrest, Durban.
Ortholam is a supplier of materials and products to the Prosthetic and Orthotic industry.
We are currently looking to expand our operations and searching for a suitable candidate with a good all round understanding of basic business operations with a passion for digital marketing, business development, product promotion, bookkeeping, entry level accounting and customer service, This is a long-term opportunity for a talented leader with energy, commitment, perseverance and initiative to succeed in a business environment subject to continuous change. 1. Digital Marketing, Website editing and maintenance, Business Development, Sales Management and Office Administration, as well as new product development initiatives. Multitasking will be a requirement.
2. Customer Service: Respond promptly to customer inquiries, and requests for assistance. Solicit customer feedback to improve customer service and satisfaction and increase sales revenue.
3. Marketing and Sales: Effectively influence the opinions and purchasing habits of customers. Build and maintain positive business partnerships with customer purchasing managers, agents and end users. Support the three pillars of product sales; price, quality and service to maximize sales revenue. Ability to effectively market and demonstrate products to customers via our website and social media marketing platforms and channels. Aptitude for acquiring sales skills and product knowledge.
4. Office Administration: Bookkeeping, basic accounting, product cost analysis, invoicing and issuing monthly customer statements, debtor and creditor control, cash flow management and customer account reconciliation.
5. Oral and Interpersonal Skills: Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to listen and seek clarification regarding customer needs. Good emotional control when handling difficult customer situations. Participate in customer conference calls and other meetings.
Ability to work independently and also within a team environment.
6. Strategic Thinking and Marketing: Develop strategies to achieve business objectives and goals. Use marketing collateral to highlight product benefits, advantages and features to maximize sales revenue and customer satisfaction. Organized, with effective time management skills.
7. Logistics and Operations: Take care of some of the shipping and handling, packaging and labelling on occasions. Must be able to lift a box weight of 20 Kg (45 Lbs.) on a repetitive basis.
8. Ethics: Treat people with respect and inspire the trust of others. Uphold the values of the business and perform all work with integrity.
9. Computer Skills: Must be conversant with a graphic design package such as Canva and Affinity, business technologies such as; MS Word, MS Excel - expert level, data protection and cybersecurity and use of the internet for business purposes. Willing to learn MailChimp, WordPress and other plugin applications. A pass in Grade 12 HG Mathematics and Accountancy will be an added benefit when applying for this position.
10. The successful candidate will be well rewarded with a base salary, monthly commission based on profit sharing and annual performance bonus.
